Writing retreat

March 25, 2013

Don't misunderstand me, I am (relatively) at peace with myself; but sometimes I feel a huge need to disconnect from a life that has now become routine. When submerged by this ghastly thing called writer's block, I think often of going on an improvised writing retreat in the utmost north of Québec; comfortable clothes, a cabin in the middle of nowhere, with no wifi, just a stove to make tea and power outlet to hook in my computer and type away.

No wifi is my savior. I don't have a smart phone, so I'm pretty much always disconnected from this lively online world when I'm not at home, but still, I am behind my computer WAY to much. A cabin in the woods of Canada sounds like a genius idea. If only it were because Canada has such beautiful, vast nature :) I hope you'll get out of this writing rut soon. xo Nikki
