This week

October 07, 2012

A silver bracelet my aunt sent me.

This week has been quite stressful, but it's common to this period I'm going through. I yearn to get back certitudes that I had in the past about so many things, and living without this sense of security that has been here most of my life is quite difficult. But if there's one thing I know for sure, it's the faith I have in my optimism and resilience. So while I wait for things to get better, I make it a point to find things to be happy about everyday.

Reorganizing my bookshelf; on the top shelf: framed photo of my cousin Aurélie (taken at Chuck'E Cheese, believe it or not), book about dolls, Matryochka set, vintage La Bohème libretto, pot pourri, fresh roses, vintage West Side Story record, and, the best of the best, a Maria Callas biography.
On the bottom shelf: my favourite books, stuffed animals, and a Toulouse snow globe.

A pillowcase I crocheted myself for my bed, while doing another Desperate Housewives marathon (Season 8 is finally on Netflix!)

Plunging into an old favourite: the Lady of the Camellias, from which La Traviata and Moulin Rouge were inspired. The story is rather sad, but incredibly beautiful and romantic.

How was your week?
